Warwick is installing a combined heat/power generating plant that will allow the Navy to generate electricity and steam to operate the Base when conditions dictate.
The heart of the power plant is a Solar Titan 130 Dual Fuel Combustion Turbine backed up by a Rentech Heat Recovery Boiler. The boiler is rated at 180,000 #hr of 250 PSIG saturated steam. The primary fuel for the turbine is 380 PSIG natural gas backed up with oil. In addition, the entire facility is backed up by diesel powered generator sets. Warwick is installing emission control systems for all fuel burning equipment.
